Dogs barking at cats and it has to stop!

One of the pet sitting jobs I had a while back involved a dog that would always bark at the cat. Both animals lived inside and were always near each other, so you could imagine this made things a little bit difficult.
I would have to control the dog by constantly giving him treats to stop it from barking, and after a while he got the hang of this and realised that the barking he was doing was wrong.
The cat I think appreciated the silence as well!
